Age: There are no ages in Touhou. There is no timeline. (Okay there is, but it doesn't help this make sense at all.) Everyone will be a loli forever. ...Also I'm not convinced ZUN could draw them looking older if he wanted to, so it's hard to say.
Build: Probably pretty average.
Hair/Eyes: Blonde/gold.
Physical: Nothing unusual. Ah, though it may be worth noting that her standard outfit is quite obviously a stereotypical witch costume (albeit frilled-up)(and be-aproned) for any characters who would recognize that. I guess by camp standards that barely counts as weird anymore, but hey. Appearance meme for more unnecessary detail!

What's Okay To Mention: Yeah, whatever. Marisa is a tough cookie, doesn't expect anyone to take her seriously, and has been known to graze the fourth wall a fair bit herself. Mind you, nothing you do or don't say to her is going to stop her from being a dick.

Abilities: LASERS!! (Actually, more of her attacks use the brightly-colored star-shaped projectiles, but lasers are more memorable.)

Ahem. Marisa is a magic user by learning, though she has no inherent power. Contrary to popular belief, she can do things that don't involve blowing stuff up, she simply likes the explosions better. (And since everything she does requires research first, her non-combat stuff is generally not as potent.) It's possible that I'll find myself playing up her versatility a bit, simply because more magic = more hijinx; but I'll try to keep that within limits. The girl knows what she likes and it's lasers, and I think we should all be able to respect that.

I'm loath to call Marisa a godmoder, seeing as she really only has one trick -- and indeed that tends to be her major failing -- but she's been known to brute-force her way through real (and sometimes literal) godmode. She's quite powerful. Her approach to combat, by default, involves a lot of flying, a lot of projectiles, and a lot of dodging, because that's what she's used to, but so much handwaving goes into that already that I can play pretty loose with it if it helps.

Notes for the Psychics: Even when Marisa is not outright lying, she spends a lot of time talking out of her ass and just saying weird stuff. She generally doesn't particularly care to actually deceive anyone, though, she's just amusing herself. On the whole, she isn't quite as crazy and careless as she acts... if nothing more, she's certainly smarter.

Physical Familiarity: Please do not molest the loli, but...
Comic Mischief: Absolutely.
Serious Violence: Perhaps. The girl can fight and may well be happy to do so; in canon the stakes are seldom high, but then, how high can they get in camp? Serious drawmuh, however, is not what we're here for. Death is considered slightly more acceptable as an option now, but it's not like you'd even think of such a thing without talking to me first, right?
Cooking: Surprisingly, yes. She's self-sufficient.

Damn right. This was only my second ascension ever, so I'm well within my rights to be a showoff, even if most people are going to have no idea what I'm talking about. Random notes and ending dump on the offchance there are any nethackers around who would be interested. This was a game full of triumph in the face of hilarious idiocy, reminding me once more that my greatest enemy is always myself.

I'd do the preemptive relationship meme dealie, but I don't even think I can do normal relationship memes. But heaven knows I need more excuses to get playing more again -- so let's make this an old-fashioned TELL ME WHO TO JUMP!!! and I will hunt you down by any means necessary.

I of course still just have the one character, Kirisame Marisa: Witch, thief, annoyance. But still adorable.

Every now and then I doodle something silly for our beloved tiny IRC channel. I'm not making any pretense to either comedic or artistic skill, and these are mainly rough and sketchy anyway. (Also, for reasons that should be obvious, there's a distinct focus on Reimu and Marisa so far.) But I've really got enough now to start collecting 'em, so hey.

- I'm pretty sure there was a reason for this at some point. I feel awkward when it's lolis, but for some reason I really enjoy designing swimwear for characters. (This was before the end of SSiB brought canon swimsuits, of course.)
- We spent like two full days discussing the details of a Pokemon AU. This was me trying to convince Reimu she should start with a Bronzor. You can probably guess whose Murkrow that is.
- Neko Miko Reimu, 1 and 2. ...That might also have had a reason originally. You know, just assume there's some sort of context missing from things like this.
- The My Little Pony game of CFUW was inspiring. Heh heh.
- Character fusion! They must be a very conflicted young lady. I think there's too much Marisa, but then I don't think there is such a thing.
- This was my first time drawing two of those people, which was probably a bad idea. Also I just realized that it will make absolutely zero sense to anyone canonblind, ever.

In other news, there, look, leader! More CoLA icon! Are you happy now?

Because after all this time, it finally dawned on me that this would, y'know, be helpful to have around, due to a lot of these being partly translated and scattered around various places. Now no one can complain of not being able to find something! ...Though being able to read it is another story.

In other news, I figured this wasn't worth posting about (yet) because the three or so people around here who care about it probably already know, but for the record: holy crap Touhou 12. Flying saucers! Sexy retro-sci-fi lasers! Uncharacteristically good art! Playable Sanae with frog bullets! Real bombs!!!

It's finally dawned on me that this information might be useful someday! Marisa is a magician, a witch, whatever you want to call it, a magic user: and magic, as it so often is, is vaguely defined. Still, there are some things I can say about her capabilities as relevant to camp. (I'm guessing much of it will probably be rendered terribly apocryphal by that new book being produced, but I figure I've got a long time before that not only comes out but gets translated to any substantial degree.) Of course, a great deal of this is just me trying to make informed decisions on things that aren't explained in canon anyway. Such is the RPer's lot.

Ahem. For once, this post is long not because I'm essaying, but because of pure infodump. Which is sort of similar still, but anyway. I'll divide it up by topic. For the record, Touhou's magic system supposedly involves incantations at least, but that's never actually shown when people use magic, so, uh? Certainly, Marisa puts a lot of effort into her magic, and also a lot of effort into hiding that effort. I figure I'll show more of it the more she does things outside her usual, but make of it what you will.
